Users have occasionally had issues with starting Xodo PDF Studio and receiving only a black screen.


Upon researching the issue, we have found this issue is not unique to Xodo PDF Studio on Mac devices, and have found two options that often clear up the issue for users:


  • Option 1: Clear all files in the /Users/{user}/Library/Caches folder.  Despite there being no files relevant to Xodo PDF Studio in this folder, it has been found that clearing this and then restarting Xodo PDF Studio can clear up the issue.

  • Option 2:  Restart your Mac in safe mode, and then restart again normally.  This process has also been found to help.
