Applying Document Timestamps

A Document Timestamp is an internal dictionary that allows an individual to validate the exact contents of the PDF at the time indicated in the Timestamp token. It is similar to a Digital Signature except there is no personal identity associated with the certificate.

How to Apply a Document Timestamp

  1. Click on the Timestamp button on the Secure Tab
  2. From the list of available Timestamp servers select the one you wish to use
  3. This will then prompt you to select a location on your computer to save the document
  4. Click Save to complete adding the Document Timestamp and save the document

Add / Edit Timestamp Servers

To add or edit Timestamp servers that can be used see Managing Timestamp Servers in preferences
