You can add a document to the Favorites tab to have it more easily accessible.
1. First open the "Files" page. Here you can also access the "Favorites" tab:
2. Open the file browser then navigate to "On My Device":
3. Long press on a file or folder and tap on the "Favorite" button:
4. Now your files will appear under the "Favorites" tab in the "Files" page:
