Accessing files on an SD card

Modified on Thu, 7 Jul, 2022 at 3:41 PM

Important Note: If your device is KitKat, please check out this article on why Xodo can not support write access to SD card documents: Files opened from external SD card are read-only.

If you are suddenly having trouble accessing documents to your SD card, please check to see if your SD card is corrupted.

1. Tap the SD Card tab.

2. Tap the Add button.

3. Select a specific folder then tap ALLOW ACCESS TO "NAME-OF-FOLDER" at the bottom. Please note that due to Android system restrictions on Android 11 or higher, you can no longer allow access the root SD card folder or the download folder.

4. Once you've allowed access to the SD card folder, you can manage SD card files and sub-folders like you can on the other file browsing tabs.
