Why do pictures in pdf files look paler?

This is due to different color management systems & settings.

Unfortunately device support for color management is still very immature on mobile devices. However we expect that this will likely change in the near future (e.g. Apple seems to be working on bringing ColorSync to iOS etc).

With improved platform support for color management you will see better color support and consistency among the apps.
