How can we make Xodo even better?

Custom Page Numbers

Some documents (such as textbooks) have many pages in the beginning that have custom page numbers (such as i, ii, iii.. etc.), making the page numbers slightly off from the document's page numbers. When opening the file on the desktop version of Adobe Reader, it takes into account the custom page numbers, so the page number matches that of the documents. However, with Xodo, the custom page numbers are not considered, so the page number does not match that of the documents, making any attempts on looking for pages via page numbers from the index impossible.

Please add support for custom page numbers.

Great to hear it's been added to the android version! Is it also in the windows version?

It is really important function for e-book reader. We usually find subjects through index chapter like real books.

I am bumping this one. This is an important feature in pdf-readers, and can't be that hard to implement. I would very much like to see this in Xodo.

This is the only essential feature that is missing.

Xodo should display the correct page number and also allow jumping to non numerical page numbers. Pdf Expert on iPad has this feature and it makes navigating to specific page numbers much easier (otherwise you would need to calculate the offset before a jump or scroll around after the jump, this is so unintuitive in Xodo).

still waiting, waiting and waiting..... even sumatraPDF can recognize real page number and it's 4 years old.

yes, this is a MUST and it doesn't look that hard to make it work. It's already been 3 years since request has been made.

Just add little function allowing user to select starting page number. Might not be a perfect solution but this way should be much eaiser to do coding.

It is so frustrating when you need to "estimate" which page number you have to jump every single time you look up in the index or appendix! Pleeease add this feature so that we feel more "in control" of the documents!

Dear Xodo developers, don't ignore for more than two years, please!

We love Xodo and we absolutely need to be in control of our documents!

        This is absoultely neccessary !
Either windows or android versions. They do not recognize custom page numbers.

ya some text books have preface index n all..xodo takes these pages into numbering .. at least add option to choose start page numbering or removing particular pages from numbering

Xodo for Android does not show the number of pages correctly. Some pdf files have different formats for numbering the pages. For example, the begining of the pdf starts with i, ii, iii,....... And then it continues with 1,2,3,......In this way we can navigate to the write page immediately. Xodo only recognize the seccond format (1,2,3,...). Please fix this bug.

page number issue: some pdf docs have different page numbers.
        e.g. i,ii,iii,iv,...,1,2,3,4,5,...
        xodo can't distinguish this.

      Suggest a new feature: Android
